Plans and billing
How generations are counted, what each plan allows, and how subscriptions work.

What counts as a generation
One generation is one piece of copy for one format. Generating a Facebook ad, a Google Search ad, and an SMS for the same vehicle in one run uses three generations. Failed runs are not counted; the reservation is released automatically.
Plans
| Trial | Starter | Pro | Dealer Group | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Generations per month | 10 | 100 | 500 | 2,000 |
| Brand Kits | 1 | 1 | 3 | 10 |
| Formats per run | up to 4 | 1 | up to 4 | up to 4 |
| Price | free | $49/mo | $149/mo | $399/mo |
Every plan includes all formats and generation history. Prices are introductory and billed monthly in USD. Current pricing is always on the pricing page.
Billing periods
On a paid plan your allowance follows your Stripe billing period and resets on each renewal date. On the Trial plan the allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month (UTC). The Billing page shows the period, how much you have used, and when it resets.
When you reach the limit, generation pauses until the period resets or you upgrade. History and Brand Kits stay fully available.
Subscribing
From Billing, choose a plan and complete checkout on Stripe’s hosted page. Automotive.ad never sees or stores your card details. Your plan activates as soon as the payment completes.
Changing or cancelling
Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can switch plans (prorated), update your card, download invoices, or cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of the paid period; access continues until then, after which the account returns to the Trial plan.
If a renewal payment fails, the account returns to the Trial allowance until the card is updated; Stripe retries the payment and emails you.
